Who Are You Becoming?

"It's never too late to be who you might have been"
- George Elliot
In society, we have fallen into a trap where success is measured by what we gain or achieve. Unfortunately, we tend to only measure material things like money, climbing the corporate ladder, or a new car.

Success isn't what we achieve, success is who we become. You can have all the wealth in the world, but without the health to enjoy the quality of your life, or strong relationships with the people around you to share it with, what is the point?

As humans, we are designed to live between 90-120 healthy years on this planet, so becoming “successful” has to start with your health. No one wants to live a life of sickness, yet the average person living in America will spend their last ten years of life, and their entire savings, dealing with major health issues.

Dying from a heart attack at 55 years of age isn't due to bad luck! Cancer rates continue to increase. Diabetes is an unstoppable freight train. Yet the epigeneticists (those who study genes) are discovering that only between 2-5% of all health issues are actually genetic. Do you realize what this means? For greater than 95% of you, your poor health is created by your lifestyle, your environment, and your choices. This means you are the cause! But the exciting thing about this, is that you can also fix it. You can become healthier! And it doesn't require some secret magic trick or pill to do so.

Something important to keep in mind is that your children learn their health habits (or lack thereof) directly from you, and your lifestyle habits can affect multiple generations after you. It never hurts to take some time and ask yourself what type of legacy you want to leave your family. Ask yourself what example you want them to see and what example you want them to share. Don’t have them blaming their genetics for their poor health, teach them to take accountability for it! Don’t have them leaving their health and happiness to chance, show them how to take control of it!

Become the person you know you can be and start today. Start building healthier habits - spend less than you earn; eat more healthy foods than bad ones; exercise more than you watch TV; and treat people (and yourself) with kindness and compassion. Avoid negativity and choose to focus on things you can be grateful for rather than things you want to complain about. Don’t blame your genetics, instead become accountable for your health. Don’t risk your health or happiness to fate. Become the person you know you can be. I believe in you!

Chiropractic And Risks - Can An Adjustment Actually Cause A Stroke?

There is constantly false information being spread about Chiropractic. But the reality is we have a safety record that is the envy of all other health and medical professions. Chiropractic And Injury Prevention

As research performed in the last few decades has shown, Chiropractic is known to change & improve various aspects of nervous system function, including motor control, brain reaction times, and brain cognitive processing (the speed with which our brain processes information). So, it makes sense that if any of these areas are lacking then you should be at greater risk for injury, especially when we are talking low back injuries (due to how important brain control is over the vitally important spinal muscles). We know that if you can’t activate your trunk and core muscles before rapidly moving an arm, this can potentially result in a strain or sprain of the low back. This is known as the feed forward mechanism - if our spine doesn't first stabilize properly before we move our limbs then we greatly increase our risk of injury at the spinal level. These injuries usually start as microscopic injuries that we don't even notice but like everything else they continue to b
