“You’ve got cancer.” This might be one of the scariest sentences you can hear from your doctor.
But before you panic and dive immediately into treatment, you need to do some research and ask some serious questions.
Is chemotherapy and/or radiation the absolute best first line treatment for this cancer? What are the risks? What other treatments are potentially worth trying first?
If you choose to do chemotherapy, do you know what the science shows for how to improve the outcomes and limit the damage?
What about diet - if your cancer doctor tells you that it doesn’t matter what you eat, then you need to immediately find someone else to navigate your treatment!
