Can ear infections be helped without drugs or surgery? Part 1

Can you help recurrent ear infections without drugs or surgery? The answer is YES , as long as the cause is found and addressed Ear infections can only occur if these 2 things are present: Fluid not draining properly from the ear canal, and a weakened immune system (food allergies included). They are more common in babies than adults because the ear canal of a baby is more horizontal than that of an adult, and thus they don't drain as easily. And, like anywhere in nature, stagnant fluid is a breeding ground for viruses and microbes! Also, 80-90% of babies suffer some kind of neck trauma when born, and so they are more prone to problems with their neck and the nervous system in that area. How can a Pediatric Chiropractor help? A Chiropractic adjustment will do 2 things: 1. By very gently releasing the nerve pressure in the neck, it will improve the nervous system control of all the muscles that sit near the Eustachian tube, allowing better drainage of the ears and sin

Is Chiropractic care dangerous?

A lot of people who have never been to a Chiropractor ask this question. They might be suffering with pain and feel like they have tried everything else, but because they don't really know what to expect if they see a Chiropractor, they are nervous to try it. I get it! It's human nature to be fearful of the unknown. And, it doesn't help when certain falsehoods are floating around, especially when these are perpetuated by other health professionals. Like any health profession, Chiropractic absolutely can't fix everything. Some people may get no relief, and a small number of people may even feel they are worse off after an adjustment. While we have a high success rate, nothing is ever guaranteed! However, if you are facing a choice between a lifetime of medication or even spinal surgery versus seeing a Chiropractor, you cannot make a safe and educated decision without the facts. First of all, how many people die per year from a Chiropractic treatment? No idea? W

Take my baby to see a Chiropractor? Are you crazy?

Almost every adult has at some point suffered from back or neck pain, and can appreciate how debilitating it can be. So even those who don't believe in Chiropractors can at least understand why an adult might visit a Chiropractor trying to get some relief. But a baby? They don't suffer from back pain? And why would someone go and twist their neck and make it go "pop"? More on this later. But first, what could cause a problem with a baby's spine anyway? A study performed by an American Osteopath, Dr. Viola Frymann, found that of the 1500 babies checked within 24 hours after birth, 90% of them had suffered birth trauma and associated strain through the neck and cranial areas. 90%! Some of these issues were caused by the trauma of the birthing process, while others were caused more from abnormal positioning while lying in the uterus. Another study where more than 1000 infants were examined concluded that approximately 80% of all newborns had some form of n

If I see a Chiropractor, do I have to keep coming back forever?

"I am scared that if I start going to a Chiropractor, I will have to go forever!!!" I hear this comment a lot from people when they are trying to decide whether they should visit a Chiropractor and see if it can help their ailments. While this statement is not true, I completely understand where their fear comes from. Here is what SHOULD happen when you go to a Chiropractor. If it's determined that Chiropractic may be able to provide a solution for you, a plan of action should be laid out, with what to expect along the way. However, every person's plan should be different, as we are all unique individuals!  An otherwise healthy 17 year old athlete who woke up with a kink in her neck may only need 3 treatments to resolve her symptoms. On the opposite end of the scale we may have a 50 year old who has suffered through chronic back pain with severe arthritis for 20 years and Chiropractic might be his last resort to avoid surgery. Some people do find t
