Dr Cori Parasite interview

I had such a great interview with Dr. Cori last time that we decided to connect again on her show ( https://www.youtube.com/@dr.coristern) . This time we discussed parasites and the fact that nearly every human is dealing with them. We talked about why they're so damaging to our health, and our favorite methods for managing and eliminating them. We will be teaming up to do more epsiodes together on a range of different health topics so stay tuned for those! If you want to listen to my original interview with Dr. Cori you can listen to that here: https://apple.co/3stdGu8 Check out this episode!

What To Ask When Diagnosed With Cancer

Hearing the word “cancer” come out of your doctor’s mouth can be one of the most scary things you’ll ever hear. So, you somehow have to pull yourself out of the emotions of fear to be able to make the best decision regarding treatment and how you’ll move forward. There’s a very long list of questions that you need to ask any cancer doctor (integrative or oncological) before you commit to any kind of treatment. In this video I try to cover the most important ones, but there’s many more you can add! Check out this episode!

The Most Common Reason Missed Behind Digestive Problems

If you’re struggling with digestive problems then you’ve probably already tried almost everything - from changing diet, to different supplements, maybe even some medications. But, if you’ve literally tried everything and still haven’t found any success, then you might be missing one of the most important causes that is so often missed - stress! Both short term acute stress and long term chronic stress will ruin gut and intestinal function because stress keeps you trapped in a fight/flight nervous system response. The problem with this is there’s 3 major body systems that won’t function properly during this state - the immune system, reproductive system, and GI system. Especially when you’re stuck in this state for long periods of time. In this episode, I discuss how to know if this is you, and what you can do to unlock your nervous system. Check out this episode!

The Main Things STOPPING You From Losing Belly Fat

If you’re struggling to lose weight, especially that last 10-15 lbs of belly fat, then there’s a number of possible reasons why. Sugar is the most obvious reason for the majority of people, but it’s not the only reason why. So what else could be causing the weight gain, or blocking your ability to lose the fat? It could be some foods that you’ve been told are healthy, things like grains and other lectin-containing plants that are driving up your inflammation. What about seed oils? They are massive drivers of inflammation, and anything that drives up inflammation will drive up weight gain. Artificial sweeteners should also be avoided, even though I’ve seen some arguments lately about how you need huge amounts to create issues. But I’ve also seen enough research to say I don’t agree with that, even though it is probably a better option than the sugary sodas for weight loss, but not the chemical exposure. High fructose corn syrup - stay away from this at all costs if you want to be h

BEFORE You Go On Statins, Ask These Questions!

50% of men and 38% of women over the age of 60 are taking statins to lower their cholesterol. But, is this number too high? Are they being overprescribed? And, are there any dangerous side effects to taking them? Every cell in our body needs cholesterol, so there’s certainly a significant downside to having not enough cholesterol. What about the fact that so many people who suffer heart attacks have low cholesterol? Some research shows it’s about 50% the number of people with high vs low cholesterol who also suffer heart attacks. So cholesterol alone is certainly not a good indicator for your risk.  If you’ve been prescribed statins, did your doctor also do a CAC scan, or test your sdLDL, oxLDL, LPa, or LDL-P? It’s these questions, and many more that you absolutely should be asking before you blindly fill your prescription and start taking statin drugs! Check out this episode!

Rise of the Superbug: Antibiotic-Resistant Bacteria

There’s a number of medical discoveries in the last 100 years that can be both life saving and damaging to our health. None more so than antibiotics! These drugs are literally life-saving for people facing serious bacterial infections. But they have also created a health epidemic of gut issues, not to mention the frightening rise of antibiotic resistant bacteria - superbugs! In this episode I share tips for healing your gut after taking a course of antibiotics (and how to hopefully limit your need for them in the future!) Check out this episode!

Navigating A Cancer Diagnosis

“You’ve got cancer.” This might be one of the scariest sentences you can hear from your doctor. But before you panic and dive immediately into treatment, you need to do some research and ask some serious questions. Is chemotherapy and/or radiation the absolute best first line treatment for this cancer? What are the risks? What other treatments are potentially worth trying first? If you choose to do chemotherapy, do you know what the science shows for how to improve the outcomes and limit the damage? What about diet - if your cancer doctor tells you that it doesn’t matter what you eat, then you need to immediately find someone else to navigate your treatment! Check out this episode!

Are You Deficient In Magnesium?

Magnesium deficiency affects virtually all of us! From the way stress burns magnesium stores (and we are all under stress in terms of emotional, chemical, and physical) to the massive depletion of Magnesium and other vitamins and minerals in our produce. So does this really matter and what can be done about it? Yes it matters, a LOT! Magnesium deficiency can cause major gut issues, sleep problems, and even anxiety and depression among many other things. This is why in my opinion virtually everyone should be taking some kind of magnesium supplement along with trying to get more magnesium through their diet. Start with a good magnesium threonate, then look into adding other types on top of this depending on what issues you face. For example, you can use magnesium citrate for constipation issues, or magnesium glycinate if you don’t sleep well. Check out this episode!
