Do you take care of the 7 areas of your life?

Well, the month of January is already almost over. Are you in the 87% of people who set some fantastic goals for the year ahead and have already fallen off the wagon? Or, were you stuck on what goals to even set for the year? Setting goals can help you find purpose and discipline in your life. If we don't set a goal then we are just driving through life without any destination in mind, and then we wonder why it is so easy to get off track! But what area of our lives should we set a goal in? How do we keep balance if we set work goals but then no family goals, or personal health etc? This year, try setting 1 goal for each of the 7 areas of life. These might be 90 day goals where, once a cycle is complete you set a new goal for each area. Here are those 7 areas and some examples of goals you might set: 1. Career: This could be anything from working towards a new promotion, to starting your own business, or maybe even completely changing jobs. 2. Financial: Maybe you

Why should I be grateful for the bad things in life?

We all know that it is polite to say thank you and show gratitude when someone does something nice for us, but what about showing gratitude when things aren't going our way , or even worse when something really bad happens to us? It might sound crazy to be thankful when bad things happen.  We've all heard the old analogy every cloud has a silver lining. And it is true. No matter how bad a situation seems, if you dig deep enough you will always find the hidden positives. But here's the catch! These hidden positives are what will help you deal with virtually any adversity or crisis in front of you. They give you meaning. They give you perspective and clarity. Sometimes these positives are simply a lesson learned that will save us from making an even bigger mistake in the future. For example you might experience a minor car accident when in your early years of driving. At the time it seems horrible. But if there wasn't much damage to the car and you suffered no inj

What's your one word?

Have you ever started a new year and set yourself a bunch of amazing goals, only to forget about all of them before the year is even a quarter of the way through ? Once the whirlwind of life takes over, it's so easy to fall back into old habits and see all our dreams blown away like a tornado sweeping through a town. How do you stop this happening? By choosing just one word . It seems way too simple, but let us explain. There's a book titled "One word that will change your life" that only takes 45 minutes to read, but will give you all the necessary tools to discover your one word for the year. Why is having one word so important? Because when the stress of life begins to take over your world, you need something to get you back on track.  You will be able to simplify your life, your relationships, your job, everything, by focusing on just one word for the entire year. While this concept seems too easy to dismiss, you will be amazed at the life change it can l

What's the motivation behind your goals?

With the start of a new year, so many people decide to take action and set some health goals for the year ahead. If this is you, congratulations! Setting a goal and writing it down is one of the hardest steps in achieving your aim. However, don't fall into the common trap of setting goals to move "away" from something! Instead you want to build your goals moving "towards" something.  What is the difference? Setting a goal based around "away-from" motivation means you are motivated to move away from something you don't want. For example, your doctor tells you that if you don't lose weight immediately you will die of a heart attack, so you immediately evict all the junk food from your house and start an extreme exercise regiment because you don't want to spend your life in a hospital, or even worse 6 feet under! This is great until you get closer to a healthy weight, and further from the fear of being overweight and sick. Then your
