The Main Things STOPPING You From Losing Belly Fat

If you’re struggling to lose weight, especially that last 10-15 lbs of belly fat, then there’s a number of possible reasons why.

Sugar is the most obvious reason for the majority of people, but it’s not the only reason why. So what else could be causing the weight gain, or blocking your ability to lose the fat?

It could be some foods that you’ve been told are healthy, things like grains and other lectin-containing plants that are driving up your inflammation.

What about seed oils? They are massive drivers of inflammation, and anything that drives up inflammation will drive up weight gain.

Artificial sweeteners should also be avoided, even though I’ve seen some arguments lately about how you need huge amounts to create issues. But I’ve also seen enough research to say I don’t agree with that, even though it is probably a better option than the sugary sodas for weight loss, but not the chemical exposure.

High fructose corn syrup - stay away from this at all costs if you want to be healthy and not carrying extra weight!

Find and eliminate any underlying biotoxins (living and nonliving) as they lead to inflammation and leaky gut which leads to hormone problems and central obesity. This is especially important for those who feel like they already live a super clean lifestyle.

Decrease stress! Stress creates cortisol which keeps you stuck in a fight/flight response, which in turn sends your hormones crazy and leads to weight gain.

Are you exercising, and more importantly doing the right exercise? All of the above are more important than working out, because you can eat like garbage and workout in a calorie deficit and you will lose weight, but you’ll also be loaded with inflammation. Ultimately, you can't outrun a bad diet!

Chiropractic And Injury Prevention

As research performed in the last few decades has shown, Chiropractic is known to change & improve various aspects of nervous system function, including motor control, brain reaction times, and brain cognitive processing (the speed with which our brain processes information). So, it makes sense that if any of these areas are lacking then you should be at greater risk for injury, especially when we are talking low back injuries (due to how important brain control is over the vitally important spinal muscles). We know that if you can’t activate your trunk and core muscles before rapidly moving an arm, this can potentially result in a strain or sprain of the low back. This is known as the feed forward mechanism - if our spine doesn't first stabilize properly before we move our limbs then we greatly increase our risk of injury at the spinal level. These injuries usually start as microscopic injuries that we don't even notice but like everything else they continue to b

Chiropractic And Risks - Can An Adjustment Actually Cause A Stroke?

There is constantly false information being spread about Chiropractic. But the reality is we have a safety record that is the envy of all other health and medical professions. Perhaps the most dangerous false myth is that Chiropractic care can, in rare circumstances cause a particular type of stroke involving the arteries in the neck. However the research completely contradicts this. We spend this short episode explaining the truth! Check out this episode!
