Declutter Your Life!

Today is the first day of spring. In nature, this is a time for growth. But what about for you? Do you already feel like you're stuck on autopilot watching the year go flying past you? Do you have goals set that you wanted to grow towards this year but you have already fallen off the wagon?

Remember this - growth is a process of shedding, not adding

We are always looking for the next shiny object we can add to make our life easier or better, when in reality the key to growth and happiness is to shed the things that no longer serve us.

If you want to lose weight, instead of adding some new fancy dietary pill, try shedding the junk food or after dinner sweets from your life.

If you want to feel healthier, you don't need to add any fancy new gym memberships, just use the gym more that you already belong to. And shed some couch time!

If you want to save more money, it's much easier to spend less than try to earn more.

If you want better relationships with your family and friends, let go of the supposed wrongs they have caused you and show some forgiveness and empathy. And put down the phone when you are with them so you can enjoy being present and connecting with them.

And if you want to cut back on stress in your life, start by getting rid of all the clutter in your house and work-space, including toxic people!

Clean out your closets and donate any clothes you haven't worn for at least 12 months. Clean out your storage areas and garage. Rearrange things and get rid of anything you no longer need. Do the same with your work cubicle or desk.

Something magical happens to our brain when we remove the clutter around us. Our mind also declutters. We start to think more clearly, sleep better, and thus adapt better to stress around us.

Please share this with anyone you know who needs to shed some things and declutter their life. They will thank you at the end of the year after they shift and grow in all areas of their life!

Chiropractic And Injury Prevention

As research performed in the last few decades has shown, Chiropractic is known to change & improve various aspects of nervous system function, including motor control, brain reaction times, and brain cognitive processing (the speed with which our brain processes information). So, it makes sense that if any of these areas are lacking then you should be at greater risk for injury, especially when we are talking low back injuries (due to how important brain control is over the vitally important spinal muscles). We know that if you can’t activate your trunk and core muscles before rapidly moving an arm, this can potentially result in a strain or sprain of the low back. This is known as the feed forward mechanism - if our spine doesn't first stabilize properly before we move our limbs then we greatly increase our risk of injury at the spinal level. These injuries usually start as microscopic injuries that we don't even notice but like everything else they continue to b

Chiropractic And Risks - Can An Adjustment Actually Cause A Stroke?

There is constantly false information being spread about Chiropractic. But the reality is we have a safety record that is the envy of all other health and medical professions. Perhaps the most dangerous false myth is that Chiropractic care can, in rare circumstances cause a particular type of stroke involving the arteries in the neck. However the research completely contradicts this. We spend this short episode explaining the truth! Check out this episode!
